What is the difference between a scheduled injury and a non-Scheduled injury under the Virginia Workers Compensation Act.
The following is a list of all body parts which the Virginia Workers Compensation Act considers “Scheduled injuries”. If your injury does not appear on the list, it is not a scheduled injury. What most people notice is that back injuries are not scheduled injuries under the Virginia Workers Compensation Act. Also missing from the list of scheduled injuries are injuries to an internal organ, and brain injuries. The practical effect of not being a scheduled injury is that there is no permanent partial disability awarded for that injury. Cases involving non-scheduled injuries should be reviewed by a competent Virginia Workers Compensation Lawyer.
